High School / Students / Principal’s Message
On behalf of the Sisters High School community, I would like to take the opportunity to welcome students and families. Sisters High School is a unique and special place for all. We take pride in serving roughly 400 students in grades 9-12 with amazing academic, social, and athletic opportunities, on a beautiful campus on the edge of the Sisters Wilderness. The size of our school allows us to prioritize making connections with each and every student while still having access to one-of-a-kind programs that leverage our proximity to the wilderness and our incredibly supportive community. Whether building a custom acoustic guitar, participating in multi-day outdoor expeditions, exploring a career in aviation, or creating and performing original music with our partners at the Sisters Folk Festival, our students are exposed to a place-based, relationship-driven learning environment that prepares them to be engaged citizens.
In addition to the unique programming described above, we also offer a full complement of academically rigorous courses and other career-technical education programming led by an amazing staff that is committed to student success. To complement this excellent instruction in the classroom, our teachers and support staff also meet regularly in grade level teams to ensure that all students are on a path to graduation and post-secondary success. A big part of that preparation also includes access to the Aspire program in which all students have the opportunity to work with community members that help them navigate the path toward college and career readiness. As they near the end of their high school journey, every single Sisters High School student has access to scholarships through our partnership with a local non-profit foundation called Sisters Gro. Last year, our graduates received over $275,000 dollars in local scholarships.
Whether families have deep roots here in Sisters Country or are new to the area, we are committed to helping all students access the wonderful education offered here at Sisters High. We truly believe in the Sisters School District vision to “belong, prepare, and inspire”, and we are excited to partner with students and families to fulfill this commitment.
